I'm planning on dying my brown hair black...?

...but my parents are worried about the risk. We had planned to get the dye (and the streaks-- black hair w/ red streaks) today, but my step-mom read through the instructions and discovered the 'risks.' Are the risks really something to worry about? I plan on taking the 48-hour test, but I'm not sure if there's something more to worry about. Also, what are the best brands for dying my hair that different of color, and the most safe ones.

Thanks,

Loren.

well for one black is one of the hardest colors to get out of your hair. its near impossible without ruining your hair. there are risks but not really to worry about.

The only risks are the skin allergy but youve got that covered since youre taking the patch test, and the damage done to hair. Since youre dying it black, and then red streaks, that won't be very damaging but heres a warning when you need to do a root touch up, only do the roots, don't do the whole head just because it's easier that way because all they dye buildup on hair is not good and later will dry it out.

if i were you i wouldnt dye my hair black i dyed mine black and now im going to have to dye it platinum blonde then back to brown to get it back to my natural hair color.its not worth it! and black doesnt go well with a lot of peoples skin and you should most likely have dark eyebrows if you dont already...just dont risk it!!unless you wanna end up getting your hair stripped and redyed leave it natural or go for other colored highlights.
