so my hair is a darkish brown color.. the top layers are kind of light though, from being in the sun alot.

i want to dye it something different, maybe a lighter color? anyone got any suggestions???

I would try some red and caramel highlights. I think that would be really cute and look good for fall :) good luck

dark brown is really pretty, but if you are looking for a change, i suggest light brown with some REALLY red highlights, it looks amazing, i know it does.

or if you don't like that some blondish highlights, but the red looks so good with brown, it can be a darkish brown even.

i think people with dark brown hair should stick with putting low red lights in and then eventually dying there whole head a soft rouge. it also depends on the color of your eyebrows if there light go with a lighter brown or even blonde! good luck!

Every time I get bored with my hair and dye it lighter with a product containing bleach I regret it after as my hair ends up in really bad condition - I have decided to use henna powder instead as it even helps condition the hair i think , you can get it in shades of copper mahogany , auburn etc - either way I suggest not using peroxide products if it can be avoided... glossy hair is better than straw like!!!

I would try a copper color with a tint of honey blonde. Blonde is practically popular hair dye these days for darker shaded hair color. If you experiment with a few hair colors, you might like what you see.
