The same thing happened to me! I have dark brown, kind of golden, hair. I wanted it a bit darker and went with dark brown from Feria, well it came out JET BLACK!! I hated it! I called the Loreal number and they told me to use a clarifying shampoo right away. It helped, but I was stuck with it for about 2 weeks. It eventually turned darker brown but with reddish tones. I will NEVER use box haircolor again!

I have found that if you wash your hair a few times, the color softens. Barring that, re-dye your hair two shades lighter than the color you wish to achieve.

I did the same thing...unfortunately all you can do is wait for it to fade. It will lighten up!...wash it a lot!

Was it a semi permenant? I'd keep washing your hair, and hopefully it will wash out! I'd give it a week of washing it and you will probably be used to it by then.

how close together can you re-dye your hair? i would think you should be able to go lighter, but you don't want to risk the chance of your hair turning red either. i hope you work out something.

Well the only thing that you can do is get a hair color a little lighter to try to make it back that color. If not you can buy some shampoo and it takes out the hair color but you never know what color your hair will turn..So just color it again...

It's not black.. trust me... the color will fade out.. I dyed my hair a chocolate brown and it looked black but after a couple days and showers the color faded to a rich dark brown and it looked nice.. so hopefully this happens to you as well

don't touch it. Go straight to the hair salon!!!, and ask them to do it. because if ur not sure about what to do, let the professionals do it. so they can make it better. :)

I agree with what most of the other answers are saying. I play around with my hair color a lot and have had the same thing happen. It will lighten up each time you wash it. Give it a couple of weeks before you do anything drastic. Plus, if you decide to color a lighter shade, waiting will give your hair a "break" before coloring it again.

I wouldnt use clairol again i had the same problem only i died my hari black and it wwent to black and now it is taking forever to come out and then i find black never comes out all the way.Look through stores and look at all hair dyes and try a different brand. And just put highlights in your hair it would work much better than and give your hair a break before dying it again so you dont ruin it.

wash it a lot da colour will fade,if da colour still remains da same black just take a light brown mix ,a product of some other company,apply,leave it a bit more than da time given n check out!.I guess it'll WORK!!! but i prefer using colour than dye!
