i have black hair before. i started using coco oil because i heard it makes hair healthy. but my friends started to notice that my hair becomes more and more brown. they even asked me if i had a colored my hair.

i use coco oil but my hair is always the same colour..maybe is a genetic factor..i advice you to go to a hairstylist: he probably knows your problem..sorry for grammar but i'm italian ..i hope you will understand..i hope!!

no dont use olive oil it would turn greeen. lol just kidding i dont know try something else it could be the oil cuz everytime you go out in the sun your hair gets lighter that what happens to me on vacations at the beach.

you dont say if your hair is naturally black??? either way if it is or not, if you go out in to the sun a lot it can make your hair go lighter , and if you colour it it does fade after a while,
oil only makes your hair greasy it washes out, if you want it to be healthy try putting a treatment on once a week after shampooing and leave on for about 30 minutes before rinsing that will make your hair more healthy
