I got my red hair colored Brown Red by a stylist and now it is a purple/black/brown. What do I do?!?

My hair is a natural dark red hair. After my 2nd child was born my hair went dull so decided to go more brown. I asked for a dark auburn brown and I ended up up this horrific fake purple/black color. I am mortified and can't even wear it out in public because I am so embarrassed. I plan on going back to my stylist but I am scared he won't know what to do to correct it. I also feel that my hair has already been through the ringer by being dry and frizzy.... it's curly to-boot. What the heck should I do!!

Uh, go back to the salon. That stylist has to fix their mistake. But it doesn't sound like a mistake really, it sounds like something else caused the color change. Medications and previous color can alter the outcome of a professional coloring, as can hormones.

If you have no faith in the stylist, you can see if the manager will get someone else to fix it for you, but after a few days it's too late.
