Can anyone explain what exactly lowlights are , and can I get them if I have medium brown hair?

I don't like highlights because the bleach used in it makes my hair look fried no matter what I do with it so, I'd like to find out if this could be a better alternative. :)

Lowlights are basically the exact opposite of highlights. Instead of lighter streaks, you get darker streaks. Usually this is done for people who are already blonde or have lighter hair color.

I believe Feria sells the product that produces this effect, it's your natural hair color before you messed it up with all the dye jobs. Because everybody has natural highlights but your normal hair color has more subtle ones.

My neighbor had this done.

Apparently, they darken some parts of your hair to make the other parts look lighter and stand out more.

It kind of worked, except that overall I thought it made her hair seem darker. Since she is naturally a darker shade of blonde, she kind of lost all the blondeness and is more like light-brown hair now.

Hey I am a stylist Ms. Lady Lowlites are strands of hair pulled through a cap or foiled with a darker color sometimes with med brown hair I suggest a burgundy ok it is just plain old hair color so go get you your favorite box of color and have someone professional or a person that is detailed to fuoil it in or pull it through the cap they look good and if you like to curl your hair make a bouncier large curl ok also after that keep a trtmt in your hair every week for at least a month ok. email me if you want specifics my id is my email purrrfectpearl@yahoo.com
