How do i make my thick frizzly curly brown hair look good?

I'd look weird bald and straightening stuff doesnt work....I'm trying to grow out my hair idk how to explain it it just looks dry maybe but when i put in a leave in conditoner ppl actually start commenting about how worse it looks.....um I use bedhead straightening shampoo and conditioner and then dry it with a towel but let it air dry the rest.....i should prolly get off the bedhead straightening shampoo and crap bc it obviously doesnt straighten it but it takes away the sweet curls i could have if my hair could just start looking better and less dry

I've used the control freak by bed head too and it's just too harsh on the hair cause it closes the texture of the hair. Try using a moisturizing shampoo/conditioner and a dab of silk therapy oil to control the frizzies.

I LOVE Aussie moisture shampoo and three minute miracle conditioner. It should help it not look frizzy. After I dyed my hair it was a big frizz ball and after I started using that stuff it was smooth and very touchably soft. I have even gotten my husband to start using it for his dry scalp.

get it really wet, then use a straightening iron. most often, it will smooth the kinks in your hair and make it easier to manage. you can even try just blow drying it straight and use a round brush to give it definition. smoothing serum is your best friend, but that tends to be pricey ($20/bottle for Silk Therepy).

also, you can get some curl defining stuff from the drugstore, like shampoos and styling stuff. embrace your curls!

doesn't thick frizzy hair suck? ;)

I have similar hair. I use Redken Smooth Down Butter Treat as a heavy conditioner. Also I love Catwalk's Oatmeal and Honey shampoo and conditioner. If you can, air dry your hair before you straighten it. (or blow dry on cool and rinse your hair with cool water in the shower) There are great sprays to put on hair before you heat style it. Or just let it dry natural and put in a headband.
